I am traveling a lot with my Z70v and just got a problem with regions with the internal DVD-RW. I changed region several times and so the counter is expired and I can not change it any more. I just realized that region-free programs as DVD Region free and over does not work with Matshuhita U-831d which is installed in my laptop. Are there are any solutions how I can still use my laptop for DVD movies?

Region Codes are usually set into the Drive itself. Some software may or may not work to "fake" the region code to whatever's set on there now. There have been a few good experiences using AnyDVD.

I havent kept up with the story on those drives, but I would do a google to see if you can find a hacked firmware. NB: do this at your own risk.
