    That's about the normal pricing nowadays, plus or minus a few dollars.

    Unless you know you are going to use it, I'd say spend the little extra for the DVD burner. If you decide you want it later you are going to have to buy a whole new unit. They are good for backups which one should always do.

    Yes, I agree. The DVD burner is the best way to go. You can always buy extra Ram in the future, but blowing $80 and then another hundred something down the line isn't that great. That is, if you think you'll never have the need to use it down the road, then I guess it's ok. And yes, thats about the average price, anything higher wouldn't be so good. :D

    the refresh is like $75 more and will have bluetooth and a 128mb x700.

    go to proportable.com, istnc.com, geared2play.com, c9tech.com, and discountlaptops.com.

    Configure the exact same configuration on all of these locations. Take all of the price and average it out.
