I thought it may have been the charger itself because when I wiggled the connector while the laptop was plugged in, the battery charge light would flicker. Well today it finally stopped charging all together. I assumed that the connection had been compromised due to pulling on the plug, etc. I just took it apart and resoldered the end...no luck. I know its getting power, as I tested that too. My thoughts now are that the laptop's connection is actually malfunctioning. Is this a common problem at all? Think it would be worth ripping into and checking if everything is in tact? I believe the laptop itself is still under warranty, but that would require me sending it in.

    Any other ideas?

Do not open it yourself if its under warranty. IT can be the charger battery or the internal connecter in the laptop. If you used to wiggle it and it would work, my guess would be its an internal problem. Even if you open and resolder that doesnt mean it will fix it it might be a circuit problem and then your warranty is void. if its no under warranty anymore than maybe its worth a try. Call your reseller and ask him what asus might charge to fix the issue.
