Hi - about a year ago I brought an Asus M6va/Z70va (Im from the UK). I was really happy with it until the other day when I noticed two faint black marks in the center of my screen. They are about 2cm in diametre but I want to emphasise that they are both REALLY faint. Its almost like there are two small shadows on screen. You can only see them when the screen is white / light blue and they are practically unnoticable with darker colours.

One is vaguely circular and in the centre of the screen while the other is rectangular with curved edges and towards the top of the screen. Both sort of fade out at their edges .

They are not too much of a problem as they are so faint. However, they are a little annoying - especially when watching DVDs. Im also considering selling the laptop and mentioning this will significantly affect the purchase price.

If you have any ideas it would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advanced

    David

I don't have a Z70Va. The only time I've seen dark marks with defined shapes it was on Dells and caused by pressure from the LCD housing. I'm not sure if it can be repaired since we just had the whole LCD+housing replaced under contract.

Sorry but I don't really have a solution to recommend.
