    Greetings All,

Well I finally got my Z70va and so far I am very pleased. I do have a couple of questions about the touch pad and mice.
    1) I use FireFox and I have found that the scroll does not work in it. I did read that the Synaptec drivers fix this but I wanted to make sure that there aren't any conflicts with using the Synaptec drivers over the Asus drivers.

    2) I also purchased a Logitech v200 mouse, which I like, but again I was wondering if anyone was aware of any conflicts with the LogiTech drivers and the Synaptec drivers. So far I have not installed the Logitech drivers.

    Thanks for your help.

    Dave

    1. nope thats exactly what you need
    2. Nope no problems there.
Pre-emtive questioning about driver capability is a new one on this forum. Most people try, get errors and then blame it on "mysterious driver issues or hardware defects". Youa re pretty safe here though. No worries :)

Thanks for the quick reply. I learned along time ago it is usually better to ask up front, then reinstall later. I will update presently.

It most certainly is but in your case its pretty safe. You will find the firefox fix has about a dozen treads here in the last half year :)

Well I installed the update to the Touch pad and all is good with it.
When I installed the drivers for the V200 mouse everything went goofy with the menus. Any time I put the curser over a menu it would flash back and forth very rapidly. I have since uninstalled the Logitech drivers and all is good. The only thing that I have noted now is that when I plug in the mouse it does not turn off the touch pad any more. Well so much for being a safe thing ;-)

I am pretty sure you dont have to install any drivers for the mouse. Windows has support for almost all mice and the function wheel. Logi drivers are not required....

I know exactly what you're talking about.

Just reinstall the logitech drivers and if it happens again just mix it up, try reinstalling the synaptics drivers over again.

Same thing happened to me and I just uninstalled the synaptics and installed it over the logitech drivers and everything is all and well.

    Cheers,
    Mike
