Did Asus ever release a version with a DVI port? If so, who carries them?

How well does this notebook run MCE 2005 compared to units that are specifically geared towards home entertainment, such as the Toshiba Qosmio?

I plan to drive a 65" 1920x1080 native rez plasma (Panasonic is due to releases such a unit shortly) for watching DVDs and managed copies of Blu-ray/HD-DVD movies (coming out next spring hopefully) ripped to my media server.

I plan to take the laptop to work each day (apps will include Visio, Project, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, etc).

At home, I will surf, Photoshop, games, and MCE for watching movies/shows from my media server.

My main concern is the video performance at 1920x1080 60Hz and the need for a version with a DVI port. Since I plan to lug it to work each day, I don't want a 17" model.

    Thanks!

    No

I don't know why you'd run MCE on this unit as it doesn't have a built in tuner..... if you have an external tuner that you like, then MCE would probably run just fine.

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, I already have an external tuner, but since there isn't a DVI version, I'll continue my search.
