Im going to buy one of these notebooks no matter what but I need to decide between them. Ive never owned a notebook before so weight and battery life is important to me. However having access to desktop comparible performance is also important. I currently have; AMD 2600+, 1gig of ram, 120GB 720rpm hard drive, ATI radeon 9600 128MB. I can run half life 2, doom3 and far cry perfectly fine on reduced graphics and it doesnt bother me. I dont really need a gaming machine but I would like to play graqphic heavy RTS like Dawn of war. So my delema is get a bigger notebook with a better graphics card (nVidia 6600 128mb) or get a smaller, nicer looking notebook with the ATI X600 64mb graphics card.
Will I be able to play Dawn of war and similar games, do autocad and matlab (3rd year engineering student)? Because if I can then Im getting that carbon fiber beauty. The price difference isnt an issue
Also I know that both cards are PCI express, does this mean, assuming there is enough available space, that they are intercahangable?
Any comments, advice or anything would be a great help as I plan to get a noteboko by the end of July.

I'd go with the Z70v... it seems to be more practical. The refresh of the Z70v has the x700... which is great for games. Even if you don't get the refresh, the x600 is still better than the desktop 9600 so yeah... you should be fine.

    Can't go wrong with the Z70v ;)
