Hello everyone. I recently purchased a Z71v, and I am loving it. One problem has become apparent recently though, and i do not know how to fix it. I live in an apartment with 3 other people, so I will often plug some earphones into my new notebook to listen to some music while I work. The problem is, I am just now noticing that I can hear myself type through the headphones as the microphone on the display is picking up the sound of my fingers hitting the keys. It is very distracting. I tried to mute the microphone input, but that did nothing (I assume that only mutes the line in microphone input on the side of the machine). Does anyone know how to turn off/mute the built in microphone?

I find that to be very odd... because when I mute the microphone, it mutes the built-in microphone on my M6Ne.

Perhaps you should try re-installing the sound drivers...or as a last resort, you could disable the microphone in the hardware device manager.
