    Hello Gents,

Anyone know what the non-barebone equivalent of the Z84 is?

most likely the G2p. Even though the G2p has a better video card.. beneath the fancy palm rests, lid, etc.. the chasis is the same.

There is also the W2jp, which is a different chasis, but the only other Asus 17" other than those two. It's thinner, lighter, sexier, built better, but also pricier.

If your looking for an Asus alternative then you do have the G2 and W2 series.

    Here's a review I did on the G2.

If you got the money for a G2, you may wanna dig a little deeper to get a W2 series notebook, if you want.

Or if your looking for a more powerfull GPU, look to other brands, or just wait for the G3 or the XG Station to see what it offers in terms of performance.

Actually, I wanted to know what the non-barebone version of the Z84 is. The Z81 had the A4, so I guess they may be doing something comparable this time around? A barebone and normal notebook built on the same chasis?

PortableOne is said to be offering their WX (Z84Jp) with the go 7950 GTX in the future. Is this going to be a P1-exclusive?
