Hello Gents,
Anyone know what the non-barebone equivalent of the Z84 is?

There is also the W2jp, which is a different chasis, but the only other Asus 17" other than those two. It's thinner, lighter, sexier, built better, but also pricier. -
Seems to be MXM
I'd like to know for sure. Any takers? -

If your looking for an Asus alternative then you do have the G2 and W2 series.
Here's a review I did on the G2.

If you got the money for a G2, you may wanna dig a little deeper to get a W2 series notebook, if you want.
Or if your looking for a more powerfull GPU, look to other brands, or just wait for the G3 or the XG Station to see what it offers in terms of performance. -
Actually, I wanted to know what the non-barebone version of the Z84 is. The Z81 had the A4, so I guess they may be doing something comparable this time around? A barebone and normal notebook built on the same chasis?
