Hi
I bought Z84jp (barebone), and I've big dilemma. I read some reviews and there is imprecision. Some people wrote max resolution is 1440x900 and another wrote the resolution is 1680x1050. What is proper resolution ? I've got 1440x900.
Thanks

The one I have is 1650 x1050. You may have to check the model name number, what country are you from?. I think the US version sports with 1650 x 1050 screen res.

May be it's European Version, which doesn't have High resolution screen as the US version... It's just a guess.
Can you verify that you HDMI port work with HDTV? mine can't. -
The one I built was 1680x1050. 1440 is a stupid res for 17" laptops...

Omiot, I am going to suggest you reinstall the video card driver, because the windows defualt driver go up to 1440x900, but once you install the graphics card drivers, then you should get your max resolution. However this is assuming in poland that your screen is suppose to be WSXGA+ than WXGA+.

Hi
Reply to khanhfat, sorry but I haven't any HD device.
I reinstaled the driver twice, nothing happend. Have anybody official asus specification to this model. -

I can set 1600 resolution when I clear checkbox (hide unsupported resolution) on screen driver, but with moving screen. I order notebook with resolution 1600x1050. I returned my notebook to service but they said everything is ok, 1440 is proprer resolution. I can't find any official asus sepcification to this model, this could resolve my problem. I call to asus poland but they don't known antyhing. This my first asus notebook and I think last. Poor service and incomplete docs.

Sorry to hear that, Polish Asus didn't do a good job then. probably there is a change in the screen's specs that causes the lower resolution.

I checked my laptop with everest ultimate and I've got such result
My display is AU Optronics B170PW03 and it support only 1440x900. So I think this is east europe version
Z84JP only 1440x900
