    Z96 - which BIOS does it ship with?

    I've asked the reseller which BIOS version their stock has, and they don't know. I don't want to buy it and have it not post with a Merom. I also don't want to buy a Yonah just to upgrade the BIOS. I've asked them if they can update the BIOS for me, but since they aren't building it for me, they won't.

    Does anyone know the date that the Merom BIOS' started shipping out? Otherwise, what is a good solution to this problem?

    z96j will boot on old bios with a merom, i believe anadtech did it when they tested the first round of meroms. after that you can update to the latest bios (which also fixes grain issue!)
