Hello just a quick question on cooling for the Z96F. I plan on installing a Merom T7200 and was wondering if applying AS5 is worth it or should I just rely on the stock heatsink w/thermal pad. The things to consider I suppose with my model is that the GPU is only the Intel GMA 950 and I will also most of the time but not always be using a Vantec Lapcool 3. Just wanting some comments/opinions on this.

    Thanks,

    Shaun

It will help the temps to apply AS5 but it will be perfectly fine without it.

Thanks for your reply.....I mean adding AS5 isnt a huge deal...I've just read that if the thermal pad from the stock heatsink is removed it may cause a gap between the heatsink and cpu..I also read on this forum of a member trying to correct this issue by slightly bending the heatsink which really caused some issues. I could see if the AS5 caused temps to be 5deg or more cooler but if were only talking 1 maybe 2 then nah I will skip.
