    Hi guys,
My CD/DVD-RW drive doesn't work perfect. I have no trouble burning of playing DVDs but when I play CDs, the drive makes a lot of noise (a lot). Also, if I'm playing a movie, it often delays, and the movie gets stuck for half a second (enough to mess the movie). I wonder what is the issue for the CDs, I wonder if may be there is something unscrewed.
    Thanks for any suggestion.

The drive is loud, especially during data transfers or direct cd access. No trouble here yet.

You may want to check into what Rom drive you have, the brand/company/name, also you may want to double check those CDs your using on a desktop to see if this same issue can be replicated.

Other than that continue to test movies on CDs using many different brands, or is it just a particular movie or brand? Sometimes drives can be picky for no reason.

Actually, I got my laptop from you MilestonePC guys, I'm not sure of the brand, do you? I have test the CDs on other laptops and there is no issue, it's just in my Z96J. I don't care much about the noise, but the fact that the movies stops at times is annoying. And I found this weird, since the speed of the unit is not bad (8x). Have you guys had any past complain on this?
