    Hi All,

Have not been on for a long time, the laptop has been wonderful.

Recently I have found out that my dvd/cd drive no longer will burn CD's, audio or data. I use Nero 8 I think it is that came with it from where I got it (CyberpowerPC.com) and am able to burn DVD's with no problem. When I burn say a audio cd, it will act like it is actually burning, light on the drive flashing, and will get to 100% done but when I pop it back in or in another computer it shows as an empty disc. Any ideas? I hate to have to get a whole new internal drive.....

    Thanks,

    Jeff

I suggest that you indeed get a new internal drive: it's probably a standard slimline optical drive (you should check though). They go for about 50 EUR in Europe, so not that expensive. E.g., LG, Nec, Liteon, I think any will do.

Jeff, can you check these CD's on the same laptop?
If you lappy can read from CD's it has burned, you have a good probability it is NERO
