    Seeing as it is a built on, and it has been announced that a bios flash will do the trick between Yonah to Merom, could purchasing a Z96j with Merom become feasible before the year is over? As in, buying one with a merom chip installed? It should simply rely on the Merom stock...right?

    You most likely don't even need a new bios, as the napa/calistoga platform fully supports Merom.
