I just purchased this model from Best Buy, in fact, it is waiting for me to pick up at my local BB, tomorrow,
I am tempted to cancel the order and pick up the new 4th gen Dell Inspiron 7000 13", with similar specs (a BB ONLY item).
I am buying this for my wife. She is a teacher, works with all Lenovo at school (desktop and a 14" Thinkpad)
and an HP all in one and an Asus Transformer for travel. The 'T' was worth the small amount we spent on it, I always liked it because the MS RT at the time for $200 more could only run Windows RT.
But the T-100 is what it is. It is sporadic at times, and yes I do keep it updated. When travelling it is always the last device in the family that will finally connect to the internet. And a 13" screen would work out better for us senior types compared with the 11.1".
OK back to my doubts. First of all, I have an Asus Q550LF at home that serves me very well. I especially like the keyboard (even if it seemed to take 2 years to break in) but the display is the most awesome feature.
Now the new Dell runs a 7 Gen i5 processor. The Dell displays except on the most high end units are somewhat lackluster compared to Asus IMO. I have not looked at this one yet.
The profile of the laptop is smaller. Not as attractive at the Asus cosmetically, but certainly less real estate. I am not sure it has the carbon fiber chassis of the XPS, but that aside for now.
The one feature the Zenbook does not have is a flex screen. My wife does not watch videos that much, but when she does, or needs to show something to her class, having the fold could be advantageous.
As a side note the 2 hinge system on the Asus has caused some folks problems.
I am very disappointed that Asus never redesigned that element and sent out new parts. No Laptop these days especially considering the acrobatics many can do, should have an issue with hinges. If you have never seen the articulation of the easel design on some Acers, that is an example of a good design. And it even feels robust. So the issue is not so much the hinges (and there is a relatively easy fix on youtube) but the fact the screen does not fold, oversight on my part. Any recommendations at this point would be highly appreciated, thanks in advance.
BTW I did not consider the Lenovos ..that much flex as in the Yoga models is not really needed and does add some weight.
Some irony here, the Inspiron I had some 6 years ago had real flimsy hinges.
UPDATE: On 2nd thought I think I would have to throw the Lenovo 710 14 into the ring, based largely on it's good review on this website. I will have to look over all 3 tomorrow.

OH, well, after all was said and done, I settled on the Best Buy version of the Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 2 in 1 14.
