Does anybody know when this will be available in north america?
I am thinking of buying a UX301UB but is the 310UX right around the corner? I can't seem to find any information about it anywhere.

You could always buy one on ebay with international shipping. Would cost more though.

But if I did, what to do about the different power plug? -
Should be able to just use an adapter. I used a simple little one for my phone charger when I was visiting Korea.

The power brick is auto switching and accepts 100V-240V.

Can you confirm for me that this unit would function properly in US/Canada?:

Also anyway for me to know how much import duty the Candian gov will charge? -
Yup that will work. One thing to point out that I didn't notice before, the keyboard is dual language, so it'll have English and Korean characters on each key.
No idea on the duty, I'm in the US -

One is the DDR4 RAM is 8GB vs 16GB (interestingly it says 16GB on the asus korea site), and storage is 256GB SSD vs 512 SSD + 1TB HDD. Also ebay ad mentions the geforce 940MX AND intel graphics, global site mentions only 940MX.
I don't think the graphics are any different (just described differently), but for the hard drives, are these components potentially upgradable at a later date?
Do you think the units will be functionally different in any other significant way? I'm not familiar with laptop rollouts and how they differ between regions. -
While not in a language I can understand, it appears extremely simple to take apart in this video
I do not think functionally it will act any different
