    Hi,

i got my Zenbook 2 months ago. Unfortunately my ISSD was broken after a month. I send it to ASUS and they changed the Mainboard! I reinstalled Windows and all drivers. Everything works fine besides the Keyboard backlight. I installed the ATK/ACPI-Driver who should be responsible for that function. All FN-Buttons are working. Only F3 and F4 are not.

Did i do somthing wrong? I don't think that there is a hardware problem cause the lights of the powerbutton and the capslock are working.

    Any ideas?

    Greetz

Intel Wireless Display Application was missing. I installed it but it doesn't solve the problem but thanks for trying. It's the same. All FN-Keys are wokring and when u press them u can see the icons on the display (like Touchpad disabels...) Only F3+F4 do not respond (No keyboard light).

I hope someone else has an idea :(.

Is there a firmware update for the keyboard? In the meantime, you can try uninstalling the keyboard from the device manager, and then let Windows detect it and re install (you may need to reboot after you first uninstall it).

Outside that, a firmware update may or may not correct the problem.

I had to send zenbook second time and they replaced motherhood again. After that my zenbook worked.

Ask them if the KBRD light is ON in BIOS. Happend to me as well. Went to Asus service, I've told them they forgot to enable the light in BIOS and they did it on the spot.

How did you find out that it was off in BIOS? I checked with AMIBCP and DMIEdit, but could not find any such option.
