    Just got a new UX32VD.

The top 1cm strip of the touchpad does not seem to register any input from my finger.

Is this normal or should I go for an exchange?

Have the same problem, it's more like 0.5cm, on my UX32A.

If it doesn't bother you who cares? Doesn't bother me.

    It does bother me.

I just tried the elantech driver. The whole touchpad became sensitive, even the button area, but the clicks are not registering and I had to rollback to the Smart Gesture Driver.

So it seems it's not a hardware issue.

Hoping for a fix with the elan driver.
