I bought recently an Asus Zephyrus G14.
It is the model with the Ryzen 7 and Nvidia 2060 graphics card.
When I turn on the equipment (I purchased it without OS), and the BIOS screen appears, everything looks OK, but soon processor temperature reaches 80ºC and the laptop becomes very hot. According to BIOS, fans are at 851 rpm which is not very fast.
My impression is that it could be normal since graphics card is working without drivers due to no OS installed, but I dont know for sure. I could still return it if this is a malfuction.
Is this behavior normal?

Have you installed Windows yet or no? Very hard to diagnose anything without running the OS yet and just using BIOS screen. You may want to install Windows...and the Asus drivers...prior to concluding that the laptop is malfunctioning...
I suggest you follow the G14 subreddit. It is VERY helpful and a fairly active group.

Well... According to Bob... CPU temperature does goes up fast.
However, with some fiddling...
...the heat can drop by as much as 20degree celsius! -
I installed OS with all drivers and it works perfectly.
The reason I was worried is because I purchased this laptop as refurbished (laptop was returned), so I didn’t know if this behavior was normal. But it works perfectly.
Zephyrus G14. Is this normal?
