i have a G50vtx1, and i though this is ventilation hold of this laptop, but not

that hole was originally intended to be ventilation, but leaving the hole open caused airflow issues inside the laptop. so the cheapest thing for Asus was to block it up (or at least thats the current story on NBR)

oh, i see, but i think if that is ventilation hold, VGA, CPU's temp will be reduce so much...

From what I heard somewhere it was inteneded to make the laptop more comfortable to use since the plastic thing is supposedly to act as a heat shield.

You'd be doing more overall harm than good by removing it. -
