    has anyone noticed that the display is a little grainy if you look really closely? my previous laptop was a toshiba m70 with the transflective screen and i didn't notice it before.

    maybe i'm looking a little too[/I} closely...

    some laptop screens are alittle graining. I think your talking about the sparkle effect as some call it. dells were known to have this issue as well as the asus z71v. you prob notice it on solid colors more right?

    yeah mostly on solid whites and off-whites like the forum background

    Did you try the Spendid video?? After adjusting the colors, might be give you a help.

    comparing to my w3j+ , if you use an odd angle at the LCD screen, it looks really aweful, and grainy.

    Once you set the viewing angle properly (back and forth, not left and right) you dont see the grains anymore.

    EDIT: doesn't really make a difference. it's not that big of a deal -- i could probably get used to it.
