    a8jm latch problem!! help plz

    my a8jm is only 2 days old and the right side of the latch is not going in unless i push in the latch release button. also when the lid is down, there is more gap on the rite side then the left side. any1 else having the same problem?

    a number of people have this slight angle difficulty.

    Just when you close it, pull up on the edge of the top panel, and it should close. and by pull up, i mean gently : )

    I had the exact same problem, but it spontaneously went away by itself. Now the left side refuses to open unless I push hard on the button.

    ok, i just bent the thing that goes in and now it works... does any other a8jm owners hear a clicking sound from da hard drive at all times too?

    they click when they come out of 'stanby'.... not sure if its the same sound you're talking about.

    BEND the thing that goes in?! I dunno...

    Yes, my harddrive clicks once every few seconds too. Also, the LED flashes exactly once per second. I just timed it with my watch. The thing's like a bloody clock.

    i meant to say that i bent the latch that goes in the lock and somehow it works fine now.... is the clicking sound present on all a8jm's cuz rite now im studying in teh library with the laptop open next to me and it is kind of annoying. the sound starts and stops randomly.
