I just upgraded my windows xp to windows vista. I'm having a problem with displaying 1440x900 resolution in vista. I installed the video driver and it still doesn't want to display the proper resolution. The max it'll display is 1280x720.
Does anyone know what I have to install to get it to display at the right resolution?

I also checked the device manager and it doesn't have any unknown devices or anything.

    Thanks in advance.

    George

Try the drivers at laptopvideo2go.com. Maybe those will give you the right resolution, assuming the ones you installed are the ones from asus's download

I had the same problem u described on my A8Js.
I checked Asus' website today and found new nVidia drivers that was released a week ago. Installed it and it let me put the resolution to 1440x900. So maybe you should try those drivers. Hope this helps

The first time I installed vista I upgraded from windows. Then I had the same problem. It wouldn't let me display in 1440x900. Then I played around and got it to go to 1440x900. Then I wanted to start fresh with a clean install so I started from scratch and now I can't get it to the right resolution.

Maybe i'm forgetting something or installing the drivers in the wrong order or something. Is the certain things I have to install in order for it to work? Can someone tell me what to install and what order to install it?

    Thanks

    George

Believe it or not, i've had tons of trouble with 211. All my problems are gone after downgrading to 210. Do it, you'll thank me later.

you use the flash tool in the bios. just unzip it in the root directory (c :) and you can access it from the tool.
