Indeed, none for laptops, for desktops, sure :)

Well, unless you count the Sager 97xx, it has a desktop processor in there, and weighs 13~ lbs, as the powerbar is about 5lbs itself :p

There are a few ASUS Duo core Built On's avaliable, but they are only slowly trickling into the market.

so it's the weight of their processors that make them inhabitable for laptops?? let me ask ya- i know that amd duo core runs at 89 watts so does this mean it will run hot and have fans goin all the time??

Yes it is a desktop CPU. it will run hot. The actual CPU isnt heavy its a tinny wafer. the cooling system. and components make it for heavy. not to mention in systems like that they put serious GPUs as well.

Its not a fair comparison the FX is a much high clocked desktop chip. But the core duo does a good job at keeping up with it. in fact its much more efficient given the Speed advantage of the desktop chip.

The amd isnt a laptop chip its a desktop chip put in a laptop. so the same perforance stands oh with zero battery life as a bonus.
