I have S6F-non leather version, n looks like the LCD is not good as Asus promote :( Cos when i set the brightness (backlight using Fn+F5/F6) to lower from medium, the backlight isn't full coverage the LCD, degrade from left side to right side of LCD (Left side is when we see the LCD) :(

And this thing getting worse each time i lower the backlight :(, and worst when the lowest backlight reach. the left side is brighter then the right.

Is it normal for LCD or only mine is got this problem? Uniquely i can't find who is the real LCD manufacturer if i use the Everest Ultimate Edition to check it.

sorry for my bad english :(, and hard to take the picture :(

I try to make it simple: when I see the LCD at the lowest backlight setting, I found that the left side is brigther than the right side :(, the backlight is not cover the entire LCD area.

    is it only on mine?

well....if this is happening on a black background, it is probably a case of light leakage. if this is occurring on a white backgaround, it is a case of uneven backlighting.

unfortunately, smaller screens (i.e. less than 15") tend to be of fairly sub par quality. the smaller the screen, the more light leakage and the more uneven the backlighting becomes....unless you get a notebook with the led screens....

you might try contacting asus about it, but most likely they will not do much about it or replace with a similar quality screen....

On the Leog.net forums, there is a user with two S6Fs who said that the backlighting on his was very very even, much better than his Fujitsu Lifebook P7010D.
