This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    It's probably going to be much different, if the suffix letters are the same as before.

    Meaning it will be the same chipset/socket and same video card.

    EXCHANGE YOUR G71's FOR G72's AT BEST BUY!!!!!

    I had a g71 from best buy. It has been removed from their shelves. It has way too many issues. I went to rage about my fail g71 because the LCD was going haywire and it was getting uber hot within seconds of turning it on. They gave me the G72. The G72 is made to replace the g71. If you're upset about not having a g72 go and try to exchange your g71 for it. You're welcome :| suprised this news isn't out. Enjoy you're free laptops. Now you don't have to be mad about that scratch you got on your screen

    EDIT: I think forge meant it isn't much different. I don't know much about the G72 YET. Picking mine up tonight. I'll let you know later.
