About how many new models are expected to be released before Fall 2007?? under five? under ten? under 20?

oook. so I've been comtemplating on both the v6j, w3j, and possibly the v1j.
only 80% satisfied with each of them.
(I really can't work with w3j's resolution, and I'm absolutely in love with the aluminum casing)
I can buy one of them now, but I really don't need it until I go to college next year.

What are the chances that another 14-15.4" might be released by this time?

What are the chances that they might be wsxga(or higher) with brushed aluminum casing?

and I know that none of you can predict what's going to come out, but I just want to know if its really unlikely, somewhat likely, or near definate. (or somewhere in between)

I find the easiest way to do this is go under "Notebook Database," click on Asus. And BAM! 15 notebooks released this year. (Though it doesn't list a variant like Z96j and lists only the S96j. So it might not list others like the soon to come W3J-) From there I guess you could predict next year's yield.

It is very likely another 14-15.4" will be released (imo...). Can't say about the resolution and chassis though. I've been told the Asus resellers usually get a "road map" of what products are coming out. Maybe one of those guys can help you.

thanks much. Notice how the overall price of these laptops are steadily going up? There are a lot more produced this year than last year. Hopefully, there will be more next year than this year.
I wish asus would make a well-built, stylish design for a non-gaming notebook.
