I know the 270v refresh isn't quite out yet but it's supposedly coming soon and sounds like it would fit my needs perfectly. It's lighter than the w3v, got better battery life and has a 128mb dedicated video card vs the 64mb card in the w3v. I see everyone on here recommending the w3v to us archies though... Is there something I'm missing? I've been looking for a laptop all summer and I finally found in Asus the combination of form and features I've been looking for. Plus there's a great repuation for quality too. Please advise... Thanks,
Eric

well the 64mb card in the w3v uses hypermemory which can utilize system memory to help the video card so all ur rendering stuff should still work fine on it. also the w3v is more portable for carrying around to class and stuff and if battery life is an issue i think they have an optical battery for it but i'm not sure.

270v smaller lighter than w3v?? Which one are you talking about? I know about the Z70v refresh which is bigger and heavier...

the z70v and z70va are not lighter than the w3v.

The Z70, Z71, and M6 series are ALL heaveier than the W3v/Z63a.
