im thinking of getting a 4 gig eeepc, then putting xp on the solid state drive. is there any other way of getting xp on it without an external drive (which i would have to buy) i have another laptop with a drive...
4 gigs is enough for xp, correct?
does any Secure Digital High-Capacity flash thing work for the eee pc? so any of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...iption=Secure+Digital+High-Capacity&name=16GB
how fast are those drives? could i load an old game (like freelancer or half life) on it, i realize its going to be slow, but would it be like 5 mins or mroe, or just a min or two? thanks for the comments.

I think you could install XP on the SDHC card but that would probably take forever with all the files it has to load onto it. These cards have mediocre transfer rates compared to internal hard drives, thus installing a large file bundled application (ex: a game) it could take hours. I know when I tried to test out Unreal Tournament 2004, it took nearly 2 hours to install it onto the SDHC card. :/

Edit: Oh, and yes those cards are compatible. I have the A-Data one. Been doing fine since January of this year. :)
