The N73SV has Optimus technology which should switch to the dedicated GPU when needed. That should happen when you're doing something that will switch to that GPU like gaming. Try starting up a game and see if it lights up then. When you're doing basic stuff like browsing the net it will use the integrated graphics and the light wont be on

    From the Manual:

The indicator lights when the Notebook PC is turned ON.
The Notebook PC automatically switches graphics performance and power saving requirements.
The dual-color GPU indicator shows the GPU in use as follows:
    White ON: Discrete GPU
    Blue ON: Onboard GPU

Look at this pic from the web:

The blue led is ON..when IDLE.

    Mine is OFF.
In the NvidiaControlPanel I've forced (turned on) the Nvidia graphics card but the led is always OFF.

    Thanks

Have you reinstalled windows yourself, or updated any drivers? Or are you running the stock windows install that came with it?

I'm running the stock windows 7 home premium x64.
When I run Call of Duty the led is always off and the graphic performance is good, so the Nvidia Optimus switch seems to work fine.
    What can I do?

Try to restore my system from the recovery partition? (but from the first boot the led never turn on)

    RMA?

    Thanks

Yeah maybe it's a hardware problem if it's never turned on. If it's a big concern you could RMA it.

That indicator light just doesn't work on N73SV. It doesn't work on mine (clean install) and another's (ASUS factory install). Don't worry, yours appears to be normal. :D
