i'm trying to transfer some videos from my samsung camcorder onto my laptop via the ieee 1394 firewire controller. the stupid asus a8js doesn't recognize the camcorder however. i know it's a problem with the firewire configuration. as of right now in my hardware manager it's listed as "OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" .. i kno it's a RICOH model .. but i can't update the driver to get something more specific such as VIA Compliant .. or Texas Instrument Compliant .. or even Ricoh Compliant .. how do i get this blasted thing to work?
