    Hello,

    1. how do i check the charger to see if its working properly?

    2. how do i make the computer run on oulet power and NOT battery power when its plugged in?

The computer right now says battery is low and its plugged in.. in about 30 minutes it will be turned off due to dead battery.

If i pull the battery the computer dies.

its like there is a setting telling it to run on battery power EVEN when plugged in AND/OR the charged just died?

    thanks chuck

Come on...help. All these gurus on here and no responses

I tried to do a file transfer last night from old dell to New Asus. Could that be the problem?

How do i go into Bios to check it out?

I used volt/ohm meter and charger is putting out req'd 19 volts.

I have 16 minutes left on battery and then I screwed

    thanks chuck

    Yes something is broken.

Normally you should be able to take the battery out and start the notebook without one.

Your problem looks complicated. If the charger is working that is...

I think you have to hold F2 when you turn the notebook on.

Unplug power jack from back of C90

    Turn over your C90.

Take a screwdriver and unscrew the bottom of the laptop to open up the CPU door.

Gently turn over and plug C90 in back to power.

If the C90 battery charging light turns orange, its the CPU door. If not, the problem is more complicated.

yeah, ive done all this today. I think it got messed up when I transfered files.

Im going to have to supply 19 volts to the battery contacts via a "modified" 90 volt charger. To simulate a battery in the machine. I need to know the 6 or so pins, called a "pinout" diagram where I come from.

This will let the machine power up for however long I need it to diagnose whats happening.
