just wanted to check in and see if anyone has the f9s yet
the prices have come down on it a bit, so i am looking even more closely at getting one
my main concerns are that i havent seen pictures of it besides the ones asus provides (i want to see the keyboard layout mostly) and each site lists different specs for the ethernet and wifi adapters
i am not happy at all about 2hr battery life but considering that i cannot find a similarly equipped laptop that is 12.1" or 13.3" for under $1500, i am willing to make that sacrifice (gonna be hard after my compal cl56 got 4+ hours)

thats enough of my rambling...if anyone has anything to share, please do !

I ve seen it for a brief minute. nice cheap and works!. I like it. I think the price point is very low for some odd reason. It should be more expensive then a w7s but it is not.

The specs on this look very nice but I can't find a single review anywhere. Dedicated graphics and HDMI out are a huge plus in a machine this size. Does anyone own one and if so is there an extended battery available and is the mini-PCI card slot accessible (for upgrade to 802.11n card).

I just ordered my F9S yesterday. Waiting for it.
Hopefully by next Wednesday, or before that, it should be on my lap :D.
Anyways, as soon as I get it, I will write a very comprehensive review and answer any questions about the F9S, so just sit tight!

Sweet, I look forward to your review. I noticed on the Asus main site that it notes 4, 6, and 9 cell battery options and also 802.11n, so I guess there is hope on the two things I was asking about. The batteries probably are just not available yet since this is a new notebook. I will buy the Intel 802.11n card and do the upgrade myself if the mini-PCI slot is accessible by removing the rear covers. Let us know what you find out and what you think about it.

Also looking forward to your review. On a side note has anyone developed an opinion on how difficult it will be to revert this laptop back to windows XP machine? Driver availability and what not.
    Thanks
