    I be looking for swap my harddisk with something more compliant.
    will be possible change my Travelstar 5K160 aka HTS541612J9SA00 with the Travelstar 7K200 aka HTS722020K9SA00?

    Your G1 should have the SATA model HDD, so I don't see why not. You should keep the old HDD in case you need to send the system in for warranty service to Asus, however.

    It's also going to heat up your system somewhat with the speed increase, obviously, and you'll take a small hit to battery power.

    Travelstar 7K200 is a very popular HDD upgrade, even Asus uses that for their higher end models. It's an excellent 7200RPM drive, but do be aware of ClearSkies' comment about the battery life. Thanks!
