    * Is this laptop worth this money (ill get it a little under 1800) :
i consider my laptop to be 15.4, Gaming capable, a little stylish, good built and future proof!
    * small question what is actually MS works, what is included?

*I think it is possible to install win XP MC on your desktop even though it will come with all of the Asus utilities (as far as I can recall correctly). Since the Asus G1 comes with the xp MC installed already it would be a cumbersome process for you to install xp pro but I guess that is up to you to decide.
*Definite YES! I love this laptop and I think it is one of the best deals you can get right now on the market (for the performance it provides).
*The Asus G1 comes with works 8.5 which is a pretty simple application which gives you basic calendar, word processing, database management, etc.
Here is a link that might be able to help you out http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=002

Hope this cleared out some of your questions

From what I have heard of other people, it is the best bang for your bucks.
