    hey

i a in the process of buying the ASUS g1s B2 (2,4ghz processor), but i have heard and read soo many things about a serious cpu problem the g1s has,

    so my quistions are

    1. does the B2 also have the same problem?

    2. if it does, has asus fixed the problem, because the problem first occured in August 2007, and thats about 6 month ago. so i am thinking that asus have fixed the problem/updated the BIOS themselves, so if you buy it every thing would be alright

    3. and can the acer aspire 5920(the same cpu, ram, gpu) be compared to asus g1s B2 perfomance wise.

    thanks in advance

Hey I get SuperPi 1M Calculations with BIOS 300
    When Fully Charged 23s
When the battery is 85% and charging it's 32s
    For your questions
    1-I don't know sorry
2-AFAIK the answer will be no but go here and solve the problem by using RMClock if you feel you need to.
3-The ASUS have better build quality + ASUS is far better for gaming because of the GDDR3 memory in it + they have better service and support.

That's what i can tell you.
One thing more i have spilled water on my keyboard and it doesn't hurt anything :p .
This is a good laptop and i recommend it for you.

Yeah, that problem is more like an annoyance and shouldn't be a deal breaker. (only occurs when notebook is charging which for this kind of desktop-replacement-like notebook will not be often -- and can be addressed with that simple fix)
