    asus g1s and g2s audio setup question

    Ok i see 3 audio connectors, head phone jack/ sdpif mic and line in. Alright correct me if im wrong but does S/PDIF let u do 5.1 and 7.1 audio? And also were can i find those cables that will fit a headphone jack because ive only been able to find the normal size ones.

    I'd like to know too,
    if I can use passthrough S/PDIF (3,5mm Optical->Toslink on my 5.1 Receiver) to get DD 5.1 or DTS.

    It's kinda important for me, and is the deciding factor if i'm gonna by the G1S or not.

    I don't have the G1S or G2S, but I do have the A8JP. I am able to pass Dolby Digital over the toslink output for DVD's. I can't imagine the G1S or G2S being any different.

    I'll see if I can check later about DTS.
