Do you have an inline surge protector? I have an APC SurgeArrest Notebook between my 3-pin mains and the brick. It never goes to 100% with it, if I take it out it'll do it. IDK otherwise maybe you need to recalibrate your battery, or maybe it's not been fully drained yet. Sometimes without a full drain the battery won't fully charge. Otherwise maybe your battery is defective.

Guess u don't have one lol so nevermind it in terms of ur battery issue. It was just a thought since I've noticed it with my setup. Here's the product page for the one I have:

    http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=173&tab=features#anchor1

It reduces some of the line noise from my crappy power out in the sticks, it's worth a look. Also minutely reduces screen flicker from AC noise. That's real hard to prove conclusively, it was worse on older laptops not so much anymore.

BTW there are two models, 2 pin and 3 pin, all ASUS AC bricks I've ever seen are 3 pin.
