Uh, what? Can you do some research before making such ridiculous claims?
And can both of you learn to spell? Thanks.

I have no idea about the US and Canada, but we have a plethora of options in Australia (albeit at a jacked up price).

    Check this out
    http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-asus-g71v-7t035g-price-129389.html

    27 vendors stock it.
It would make sense if the US had that many options as well.

EDIT: looks like the QX9300 is pre-oc'd to 3GHZ by Asus

It's going to be called G70v-Q1 (QX9300, 4GB DDR3, 640GB (320GB x 2 7200RPM), 9700M GT 512MB, Blu-Ray, TV-tuner card and more) in the US and it's scheduled to be released some time this week according to ASUS. Price range $2899~2999. Thanks!

It is unlikely you will see this model out for more then one shipment if even that. G71v-a1 and g71v-a2 are both out and will be shipping sometime this month hopefully

Simply do not buy any ASUS products, they are poor quality (specially the laptops) and the customer support is the worst I ever saw. (Unfortunately I have an ASUS laptop and I sent it to be repaired many times with the same issue, and I have friends with the same problem.)

Can you provide more information on your "experience"? I've personally used laptops from Acer, HP, Dell, and ASUS, and ASUS has so far gave me the best computing experience.

likely he is an overseas user. It has become a norm for overseas users to be treated with substandard service and support. Asus in the USA does live up to their recognicion of quality and support. Unfortunately they can not please everyone. who can?

But there are always room for improvement. And most of us know that ASUS is really not known for its customer service .

OMG. I thought that JellyBeans got his ban lifted when I saw this thread! That was so scary.

    Way to revive a thread.
