I did a clean install of windows 8.1 onto my asus ux31a touch.
The asus install wizard program is gone. Do you guys know where I can download it from?
I'm noticing the backlit keyboard brightness adjustment buttons aren't working now and the screen just isn't as bright.
I'm suspecting it's cause I don't have the right asus drivers so hoping if I can reinstall the asus install wizard, perhaps the problem is missing drivers and I can everything working again.
Thanks.
EDIT: I realize the smart gesture is gone too. If the install wizard doesn't bring that back, do you guys know how I can get it?

ASUS has not released many Win 8.1 drivers (see below link), however all of the component manufacturers (Intel, Nvidia, Realtek, Atheros, Ralink, and Elantech) do have their Win 8.1 drivers available if you go to the official website directly.

I got everything working now except the backlit keyboard brightness adjustment buttons and my screen not being bright enough no matter how bright I turn my brightness up. Anyone have any clues on these two items?
I'm sure the reason why the keyboard buttons aren't working the way they should is because instead of a "keyboard device filter" device showing up in my device manager, I get this other keyboard name.
The keyboard device filter had a driver provided by ATK version 1.0.0.5. I can't get that to come up anymore.
How can I get the old keyboard device filter back? -
Ok. I got everything working now. Thanks a lot Kevin@GentechPC.
Asus didn't list all the drivers I needed under the Window 8.1 OS page of their product support website. I had to get some from Win 8 OS page too. After installing all the drivers for 8.1 and other drivers not listed under 8.1 from the 8.0 webpage, everything worked.Kevin@GenTechPC likes this. -

I have this same problem w/ install wiz; brand new N550JV (2 days old), unwrapped it ran updates, then updated to 8.1 now install wiz will not work do you not what driver specifically will fix it. I tried trial and error with ASUS website 8.1 and 8.0 lists some of the 8.0 ones disabled my touchscreen. I tried IM w/ asus support not response, called on the phone they had no clue they could not even tell me what the install wiz app is for. I thought I was being smart updating everything before I began installing software.
