    Hi,

I bought an n56vm last august and I'm starting to have issues with it. First of all the FN + f9 doesn't work anymore, I've tried to update the instantkey sorftware and it didn't work.

My second issue is, when the laptop is plugged in and charging it randomly changes between the power mode I'm on and the battery without me touching anything, I can still use the computer but it's really anoying.

    Please, I need help, thanks

Your first issue might be remedied with the ATK hotkey update. Uninstalling and letting Windows reinstall the default keyboard driver from Device Manager may or may not help, also.

As for your second issue, that sounds like there is a short somewhere. Whether it's the battery, the adapter, or the jack is another story that you'll only be able to pinpoint through testing each component. Hopefully the problem doesn't lie with the jack or the board, as a repair for out of warranty can be expensive. But battery and/or AC adapter replacement is much simpler and less costly.
