hey guys i just recieved one of these laptops and have a question about the sound.

the hot keys to raise the volume and lower the volume <f11 and f12>

dont work at all. first off what may i be doing wrong?

and secondly should you be able to use those keys to control volume while in a game? or does it just work on the desktop? (which it doesnt even work on desktop right now)

    any help would be appreciated.

    thanks

Could be a problem cropped up with the hotkey drivers (usually is with that symptom). Reinstall those from the CD.

Sound control should be only desktop, not in-game.
