Hello
I have a asus k75de. amd 10-4600m cpu, 750 gb hdd, with spare drive bay, running windows 8.
I want to put an ssd in.
It only says sata hard drive, would that be a sata 3, or sata 2, and would a ssd, like the OCZ Vertex 4 128GB SATA3 6GB/s 2.5" Solid State Drive work in in spare bay?

SATA 3 (6GB). Will it fit? It should 2.5 is the standard size, I know some like mine like the thin ones but I have an Ultrabook and even that can make either work.

You can use a SATA III capable drive for any current SATA connection, but the SATA controller will determine the data speed. So a SATA III drive connected to a SATA II connection, will run at SATA II.
Typically, the primary bay is the only SATA III bay. So you may need to move the HDD to another bay and put the SSD in the primary one to get the full potential of the SSD. -
Thank you so much for your help.
When I build desk tops, its so easy to get a info on the motherboard, not sure why laptops seem to be hard to get info on. -
