Hi, New to the forum. I've been unable to find a solution to this problem anywhere.

My brand-new ux32a seems to have an issue with headphone jack. Headphones are working fine under battery, with sound only going to headphones. However I then get the message 'headphones unplugged' when I plug in the power charger. The sound then comes out the speakers and the headphones.

Is there any reason why the laptop would think I've unplugged the headphones when I've actually not, but I have plugged the machine into the power to charge? I'm wondering if this is a feature that can be turned off? Or is this a fault

The headphones do actually register when I pull the jack in about halfway.

    Thanks for your help.

Doesn't sound like a 'feature' to me anywhich way I look at it. Maybe you should speak to Asus support and look at getting a replacement if you're within the return window. Great laptop (I bought my UX32A a month ago) but loads of QA issues
