    3 questions:

    1. Which Asus laptop has GDDR3 vs DDR2? (for nVidia, and for ATI do they use GDDR4?)
    2. How do you tell if it is one or the other?
    3. What other brands/models (Apple MBP 15", Lenovo T61 14", T61p 15", Dell XPS m1330, Latitude D630, etc.) use GDDR3/DDR2 for their video cards?

Would like to know about these models in particular:

    Asus V1S w/ 8600M GT 512MB
    Asus V2S w/ 8600M GS 256MB
    Asus F8Sv w/ 8600M GT 256MB
Asus F8Sa w/ ATI H2600 512MB (btw is this better than F8Sv's video card?)

I heard the V2S and F8Sv are DDR2 (actually I'd assume all are) but can anyone positively confirm this?!

The only Asus notebooks with GDDR3 GPUs are the G1s A1/B1, G2S A1/B1, and C90S. Don't know about the F8SV because its not out yet.
You can tell by looking at their clock speeds. GDDR3 are usually stocked with 600+mhz
Other brands that have GDDR3 include MacBook Pro, XPS m1730, Toshiba x205, Sager 9261, Sager NP5791.
