Hey I was looking at the w3v on Newegg.com and it seems like it has a ATI x600 graphics card with 128 mb of dedicated ram. Does anyone think this is a fluke? Most other websites have the card at 64mb but Asus seems to say that it should also be a 128mb card.

    Asus website:

    Newegg:

Oh and does anyone know anything about the extended warranty the review on notebookreview talked about within the US and possibly some issues about heat (my last laptop literally melted after years of use due to excessive heat during use)?

    found here:

I am eager to get the W3V but just had these questions. Thanks!

It's not a fluke, they just don't know what they're talking about.

All W3's ordered into this hemisphere are ordered directly into Asus' office..... all 64mb models.

If you read my thread down the page main page a bit you'll see how "hypermemory" works and they are either pushing that becasue asus' paperwork says so, or they don't know what they are selling.

Also, you can't get the 3rd year warranty when buying from New Egg... The warranty is a US warranty while the first 2 years are global. Don't worry about the heat it's not going to melt your computer, it's a high performance issue if anything.

    Thanks,
    Justin

Nothing onsite..... Asus' 3 year warranty is a global depot service

    Thanks,
