    hi every1, just joined this site and hope there is someone that canhelp me. I replaced a keyboard on a x58l lately and when i went to power up i got a black screen, u can see the windows faintly and has sound. contacted asus and no joy, said to press fn+f8 and fn+f7. no joy. also it dont go into sleep mode when i close the cover, thought it might have to do with the magnetic switch. please help :confused: tried power on for a minute with no battery and just power cord no good

    Welcome to the forum, I would connect an external monitor or TV and see if the issue persists. please let us know.
