    asus z71v shutdown problem

    when i shutdown my notebook, sometimes it boots up within a minute later, how do i fix this?

    It's a common boot on lan problem for the z71v, I remember smilepak having it and fixing it, but I can't seem to find it.

    Hope he comes by :p

    duno if this will work for u..but for my computer...i manually shut down. meanign i hold the power buttonf or 5 sec. it always works that way

    Have had the same problem about twice. The laptop would turn on immediately after shutdown. 2 way to keep it off.
    1. Disconnect ac adaptor
    2. Hold button in for 5 sec.
    Your problem is a little different. Start by disabling the onboard devices one by one. You can also be a little more detailed with your problem. Anything else you want to mention?

    when i try to shutdown with powerbutton, it still turns on

    That is WOL

    Go to Control Panel
    System
    Device manager
    right click on the network device
    in the Advance tab, somewhere in the list is "Disable Wake On-Lan"
