looking at asus w3v and wondered why type of ram it uses. it is a bit ambiguous on the website. this is what it says:

    "Memory : 512MB DDRII PC-4200 400Mhz SoDimm / Max 2Gb "

    i thought pc-4200 was 533mhz, not 400mhz.

1 other question, what does dual channel mean?

    thanks

    thanks,

explains the dual channel bit ... however, still don't understand how it can be ddr2 pc4200 / 400mhz. the guide confirms what i thought that pc4200 is 533mhz. i have also found in these forums that some w3v have the 533mhz memory and some the 400mhz memory.

back to the original question - does anyone know what the aussie w3v have?
